The dealer then lays down three cards face up in the middle of the table. Everyone can use these cards as part of their two-card hands. So, if you have a king and eight, and the dealer sets down an eight, a six, and a nine, then you have a pair of nines. After the three cards are dealt, everyone bets. Then, a fourth card is dealt face up for everyone to use – this is called the “flop.” Once again, another round of betting. After the fifth card is dealt face up, then everyone bets one more time. This is the exciting part – show ‘em! Whoever has the best hand after all five cards have been dealt wins the pot.
